Antonio Witherspoon
Antonio Witherspoon, a three-time graduate of FAMU, has been named the new University Registrar, effective January 3, 2025. Before his role in the Office of the Provost, Witherspoon worked in the Registrar’s Office for more than 11 years. During his tenure, he spearheaded transformative projects, such as implementing innovative scheduling systems, streamlining credit evaluations, and optimizing degree audit processes and his efforts significantly improved student experiences. During his student days at FAMU he was involved FAMU Concert Choir and was initiated into the Omicron Gamma Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America in the Spring of 2005. He served as President, AFEO, Treasurer and Alumni Relations Officer. He has continued to show his love for the fraternity since his very beginning and still does serving as the chapter advisor for the Omicron Gamma chapter of Phi Mu Alpha. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and he currently serves as Kappa Alpha Psi’s 31st Polemarch for the Alumni Chapter as well as an advisor for the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.

Greetings from the Original Gentlemen of the Omicron Gamma Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha.
On behalf of the original gentlemen of the Omicron Gamma chapter of Phi Mu Alpha SINFONIA Fraternity of America, Incorporated. I welcome you in the spirit of our founding father, Ossian E. Mills in SINFONIA, and hope that your experience at Florida A&M University will be an enlightening one. As our great Fraternity continues 126 years of musical excellence, the brothers of the Omicron Gamma chapter continuously realize the need for intelligent, conscientious, and respectable musicianly men in our community.
The Omicron Gamma chapter produces world-class brothers who attain the pinnacle of success and achievement. In Phi Mu Alpha SINFONIA, we provide musicality, leadership and service to the campus of Florida A&M University in various student organizations such as, but not limited to: Student Government, the FAMU Marching ‘100’, FAMU Concert Choir, NAACP, and many more.
The light of SINFONIA will continue to shine brilliantly. With all of our endeavors in order, we shall truly “Advance Music In America!”

Omicron Gamma Chapter
ΟΓ HISTORY
The Omicron Gamma Chapter was founded on April 21, 1995, on the campus of Florida A&M University. The charter line, known as Harmonic Genesis, was comprised of 23 students and 2 faculty members: Bro. Dr. Shaylor L. James and Bro. Dr. Geoffery Horn. Bro. Dr. William P. Foster and Bro. Dr. Marty Robinson provided faculty support. The Omicron Gamma chapter was chartered by the Epsilon Iota chapter at Florida State University.
